Want a 4th axis but a factory unit is too costly for the budget? Build your own for about 1/4 of the cost of a factory unit.

These plans are in Fusion 360 format and include a completely assembled 3D model. A spreadsheet of all parts and materials, with where to buy each one, is also included.

Not sure how to wire it and configure it to work with your machine in PathPilot? No worries, we’ve got you covered. I’ve written step-by-step instructions that take you from wiring through software setup.

• 50:1 harmonic drive, for a max speed of 12 RPM
• 5-inch chuck mount, with options for both 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks plus an ER40/ER50 collet system
• Pass-through hole in the back cover for long work and stock pieces
